Preston and I took Jack to eat the "Pho" aka Vietnamese soup last weekend and he loved the noodles. So last night, we decided to see if he would eat Ramen noodles, and he did! It was little messy, but not any messier than anything else he eats. He started off using his fork, but then he figured out it was just easier to use his hands.
Luke and Jack had a great time last weekend when Preston's family came to visit us. Jack just got a new swingset and sandbox and boy did they have fun!
That was a long day of playing, lets quench our thirst and get some food in our bellies!
Jack has a new found love, reading books. He loves to sit in one of his chairs and read. He likes to look at pictures, but he really likes big people books because he can flip the pages.
The Strickland's are trying to keep up with the times. We are new to the whole blogging thing, so bare with us. We decided this would be a good way to keep everyone up to date with everything that goes on in our day to day lives.
Preston and Laryn met in junior high at Ceta Glen church camp. In 2001, they were reacquainted with some help from a mutual family friend. Laryn decided to move to back to Oklahoma in 2002 to finish school , Preston decided to go with her. They lived in Norman for 2 years while Laryn went to school at OU. Preston popped the big question on August 27, 2004. Laryn got accepted into the OU’s nursing program and the couple moved to OKC. On June 25, 2005 with friends and family watching Preston Andrew Strickland and Laryn K Luddington were married at Westmont Christian Church in Lubbock. The couples gift to each other was Hugo Theodore Strickland, an English Bulldog puppy. After Laryn's graduation in May 2007, Preston and Laryn got jobs in Lubbock, Texas, bought their first house and prepared for a baby boy. On October 15, 2007, Jack Truett Strickland arrived. In 2008, they decided that Lubbock was not the place for them. Preston got his old job back and Laryn found a new one. The Strickland family moved to a new home in Oklahoma, where all four of them happily reside today. The End, or to be continued...
